Another flip done! We just finished our Lavaca house flip and love the way this house has been made a home for someone. This house is just so welcoming and so proud of how it turned out! Finished this one up in 8 weeks and luckily didn’t have anything major come up along the way…just the way we like it!
This house is a two bedroom, two bath, with an extra media room and an oversized laundry room. The first thing that I picked out for this house that I fell in love with was the guest bath tile. I wanted to do something fun and playful and elevated from a design perspective. I chose this Kavala aqua matte porcelain tile from floor and décor and it turned out to be such a showstopper! This pattern has been trending especially in the black/white combination that it comes in. I loved this one because it is bright and fun and a bit bigger is size at 11×13 than a lot of the options in this style. I paired this tile back with brushed gold faucets, hardware, lights and mirror and I love the elevated look it gave this space.
In the master bath I went with a more classic style with this Lenox Gray Matte Porcelain tile for the bathroom floor, classic subway tile for the shower walls and since you can never go wrong with chevron, this Heron Grey Chevron Honed Marble Mosaic. All of these created a calming master bath with clean lines and soft colors. The vanity in this space is white with a grey and white quartz countertop to help pull it all together. In this space I went with brushed nickel hardware details for the faucets, hardware, lights and mirror. I am currently working on several home remodel projects for clients and they are all choosing this bathroom floor, it is one in rotation in my remodels right now.
We knew the fireplace in this home would be the focal point when you walked in so we wanted to make sure it stood out. I chose this Beaumont Shadow Ceramic Mixed Penny Mosaic tile. This tile has multiple grey tones with different textures and just instantly feels welcoming. With this tile detail around the fireplace I decided to add white shiplap up to the ceiling to make this the grand focal point when you walk in. Our crew built the custom wood stained mantle to round out the look and I am so proud of how this turned out!
In the kitchen, we installed new custom white shaker cabinets with soft close drawers and cabinets. Originally in this space was the glass door to the backyard. We moved this door over to the living room to add in more cabinets and usable space in the kitchen and this made such an impact in this space. The Villa nickel ceramic subway tile backsplash in the kitchen is so elegant and really draws you into the space with the floating wood shelves and quartz countertop. I chose brushed brass cabinet pulls here and I love the way it elevates the feel of the kitchen.
On the exterior of the house I chose Sherwin Williams Summit Gray and Pure White for the trim. For the shutters and front door I chose Sherwin Williams Tricorn black. The interior of the house living room and kitchen walls are Sherwin Williams mindful grey.
Last but not least was the laundry room. I always try to do a fun print or pattern in the laundry room to add a little fun. I have the same in my space at home and it makes me smile. I chose this La Vera Deco Matte Porcelain tile with a fun black and blue geometric pattern for extra whimsy in this space. See if you can spot it in this full walkthrough video below!
